Feeding guidance
ZIWI Peak is a considerably richer diet than most foods your pet is likely coming from. Changing over gradually gives their digestive system time to adjust, and avoids the upset that a sudden switch can cause.
Start with a small amount of ZIWI added to your pet's current food. Increase the ZIWI portion a little each day while reducing the old food, until you have changed over completely. Over at least 7 days is the guidance; there is no harm in taking longer, and fussy or sensitive pets often do better over ten to fourteen.
This is the single most common surprise. ZIWI Peak is extremely nutrient-dense, so the correct daily amount is visibly less than an equivalent bowl of kibble. Your pet is still getting the calories and nutrients they need.
Use the feeding guide printed on the pack to work out the right amount for your pet's weight, rather than matching the volume of their previous food. If they appear to be asking for more in the first week, that is usually habit rather than hunger.
Soft stools in the first few weeks are not unusual when changing to ZIWI, or to any new food. It generally settles as their system adapts.
If loose stools continue, the most common cause is simply overfeeding — try reducing the portion slightly before concluding the food doesn't suit. If it persists beyond that, or your pet seems unwell at any point, speak to your vet.
If your pet is coming off kibble, Steam & Dried is usually the gentlest introduction — the micro-steaming step gives it a lighter texture closer to what they already know. Air-Dried has the highest meat content but a denser, chewier texture that some pets take longer to accept.
Wet food is generally the easiest sell to a genuinely fussy eater, and adds moisture at the same time.

They share the same PeakPrey® ratios, so a Steam & Dried base with Air-Dried on top is fine.
In Singapore's humidity this matters — keep it cool and dry, and use air-dried food within 8 weeks of opening.
